Getting around

Parking

Free parking is available around town. If you have a caravan, parking is available at the Lindsay Street Complex or the Visitor Information Centre on First Street. 

Public Transport

A free shuttle bus provides transport around Katherine. You can download the timetable here. The Kalano Youth Transport Service (KYOTS) is free service available for young people and families in Katherine. For more information, please call 0429 061 959.

The Y runs a transport service for fortnightly youth drop-in nights and school holiday programs, For more information please email hsrc.reception@ynt.org.au or call 8972 2592. 

Taxis 

Taxi ranks are available on Lindsay Street opposite the Visitor Information Centre and on Warburton Street opposite Mahogany Bar and Grill. 

Walk & Ride 

All cycle paths in Katherine are shared paths and are used by pedestrians and cyclists. Please keep this in mind while exploring the town.

Enjoy a popular walk or ride along the Katherine River Bank which starts at the Low Level weir and continues past the high level bridge towards Katherine hospital.

Bike racks are available at the Hot Springs or on Railway Terrace near the Katherine Town Square.
