F/A-18 Hornet Planes, Railway Terrace
This mural pays tribute to RAAF Base Tindal and its role in Katherine, featuring F/A-18 Hornets flying over Katherine Gorge. The base is home to Number 75 Squadron and plays a significant part in the region's history.
Big Rivers Portrait Series
In addition to our murals, Katherine is also home to the Big Rivers Portrait Series which is all about celebrating the unique identity of the Big Rivers region. Through portraits and powerful storytelling, this project honours the diversity of Katherine and pays tribute to those who have helped shape the Big Rivers region as it is today. The portraits are a living documentation of the stories, experiences, and histories of individuals who are deeply intertwined with the region's rich cultural heritage.
Featuring over 10 portraits of key community figures hailing from various corners of the region, including Kalkaringi, Minyerri, Borroloola, Numbulwar, Ngukurr, and the municipality of Katherine, the project's reach continues to expand to other communities.
