K-Town Morning Rush competition's winner (Round 1)
We have a winner!
The first K-Town Morning Rush coffee competition ended of 30 November, with one lucky individual winning a three month supply of free coffee.
Ms Tahlia Govan is the lucky person who was selected during a live draw on Katherine FM 101.3 on 4 December 2023, winning 90 cups of free coffee. She was delighted to win this competition and believes it is a great initiative for Katherine coffee lovers.
“I am so happy to win this competition and have my morning coffees set for the next three months. I think this initiative is a positive one for coffee lovers like myself, so thank you,” Ms Govan said.
Participating venues entered into the spirit of the initiative, showcasing their coffee making skills and introducing customers to their specialties, including a Vietnamese coffee making demonstration and tasting hosted by 168 Food Bar and free coffee smoothies organised by the Coffee Club.
Activate Katherine partnered with the Chamber of Commerce Katherine Region to deliver this initiative, celebrating our love for coffee and boosting the local hospitality industry. Community radio station Katherine FM 101.3 was sponsored to promote the competition, which saw live broadcasts from various participating venues throughout the month of November.
Activate Katherine was impressed to receive close to 900 entries across the participating cafes and restaurants, with customers going into the draw with their purchase of all types of coffee, from almond iced coffee with cream to soy decaf latte.
Coffee lovers will be pleased to hear they will have another opportunity to win a three month supply of free coffee. The second K-Town Morning Rush coffee competition will commence on 1 February 2024. Katherinites are encouraged to keep an eye out on our social media for more information.
