Katherine Film Society was founded in 1999 with the aim to screen fantastic films for the Katherine community. Every second Thursday films are screened at 7pm at Katherine Cinema 3. Also on the evening wine at $5 (cash) per class is served and snacks are provided at 6.30 pm.

Katherine Film Society is managed by a small group of volunteers who provide support for film selection, promotions, visiting film festivals and the fortnightly screenings.
